Sidney Singer ’25 has been awarded the Richard Challener ’44 Senior Thesis Prize for her thesis titled “Bonjour, Hi, ᐧᑫᐃᐦ: Law, Identity, and Indigenous Language Recognition in Québec.”
Established in 2000 in honor of Professor Richard D. Challener, Princeton Class of 1944, the prize is awarded by the Faculty Committee on Canadian Studies and presented to an undergraduate senior who submits a “senior thesis of outstanding quality” on a topic related to Canada.
Singer, from Nova Scotia, Canada, majored in the Department of French and Italian and earned a certificate from the Program in Translation and Intercultural Communication.
